Anyone been up to the Sturgeon via the Gervais Rd. recently? Is it fine for driving a car?
Also, how are water levels between Florence Lk. And Smoothwater Lake?
Any thoughts are most appreciated. Thanks. |

The gervais road to the sturgeon is fine. You will have to slow to a dead crawl a few times to wheel around some minor washouts but I think you could make it in any car. I drove it in a 2005 Pontiac bonneville 2 weeks ago. I hit a couple rocks about 5 inches in diameter and I would recommend going slow enough to miss those.

We're heading to Florence Lake and then either via the Lady Evelyn (which might be too low), or by backtracking, over to hike up Ishpitina Ridge.

I always go by the hydrometric data at upper goose falls on the sturgeon. http://www.wateroffice.ec.gc.ca/text_search/search _e.html?search_by=p®ion=ON
