anyone know if the onr will transport a canoe from cochrane to temagami? didn't have any luck with the website... |

This question has been asked before a few times here and on myccr.com but the answer has always been that they do not have a baggage car on that train.
Unfortunate, because lot's of city folk don't have cars but would use the train to get themselves and gear to Temagami.
Are you thinking about logistics coming off the Missinaibi? |

actually this has to do with the possible opening up of the little hawk portages. i was thinking you could park the car at temagami, paddle up to moosonee, then take the train back to the car...
i realise there are a lot of dams on the lower mattagami that present an obstacle, but it seems to me this would be a very appealing "loop", especially if you didn't have to drive all the way back up to cochrane to retrieve the canoe! |
