I posted a revised map that shows an easier, and car-safe, route to Obabika Lake from Hwy 805. The previous map only showed access via the car-unfriendly Goulard Road. This one shows access to the south end of Obabika through Pond Lake. It was a truck portage route to the Golden Rose Mine before 805 was constructed. (Actually a good chunk of it was built over a nastawgan.) Then fell into disuse, in part, because it crossed private property at Obabika Lake Lodge. The property can been avoided by following the portage route as shown.
