I noticed while travelling in the Chiniguchi area and along the Sturgeon River over the last few years there doesn't seem to be alot of wildlife around. Anyone have a reason for this? Is there more wildlife (moose, coons, birds etc) in the Solace park or north? Any opinions? |

the critters can be there one minute and gone the next, it's all a matter of luck, timing and being quiet. we've always had good luck with bears in the areas you mention- closest encounter i've ever had was on the chiniguchi. On the other hand in 20+ years i have never seen a raccoon in temagami, except once behind the old temagami tavern on hwy 11! |
