Hi
I understand that the road is washed out. I'm wondering if I can acess Elissa or Gamble Lake.
Also any shuttle services available in Elk Lake?
I'm trying to go down North Lady Evelyn River,Up the Gray and down the Makobi the beginning of July. |

You could try Elk Cabins (Serge Marin) in Elk Lake... it would be a natural place to leave your vehicle while enroute and a direct paddle
back to his location at completion.
I dont have the number, but Directory will have
it under Elk Lake.

Hi,
We started our trip from the South Evelyn river on May 19th. When we were purchasing our permits we were told of the washout on Beauty Lake Rd and bought an extra day's pass in case we would have to put-in further north than planned. There were a couple of flooded areas with solid road bottom that we drove through and when we arrived at the washout near Gamble lake some of the debrit causing the problem had been removed and we were able to proceed with caution to the river. We didn't return this way so I can't report on it's present condition.
