I haven't been to Temagami in years, and will be coming June 7th. Is the Red Squirrel Road open and passable to Ferguson Bay, (Sandy Bay)? Also, are camping permits required and if so, where are they purchased?

Yes, the Red Squirrel is passable. Camping permits are only required in the parks. Check this page: http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Canoeing/parks. htm |

I will be doing the Obibaka - Diamond Lake loop. Does this area require a permit? |

The planning map defines the limits of the parks. If you are staying overnight in a park you need a permit. If you are just passing through a park and not staying overnight, you do not need a permit.Diamond and Wakimika are in the park. The north end of Obabika is in the park. Check the route planning map and you can locate the park borders. |
