We just got back from our Canton lake loop and we had a great time! We stayed on the well used campsite just opposite the Napoleon portage on Deer island, at the point. It had a picnic table nice privy and big tent sites. I came across a lot of old artifacts, building foundations, bed frames, rusted pipes, bathtubs,piles of old bricks. Does anyone know what was there befroe?

It is the site of the old Lady Evelyn Hotel....built in 1906 and burned down in 1912. Check out this link.
