We just got back from our Canton lake loop and we had a great time! We stayed on the well used campsite just opposite the Napoleon portage on Deer island, at the point. It had a picnic table nice privy and big tent sites. I came across a lot of old artifacts, building foundations, bed frames, rusted pipes, bathtubs, piles of old bricks. Does anyone know what was there befroe? thanx jim |

It is the site of the old Lady Evelyn Hotel....built in 1906 and burned down in 1912. Check out this link. http://www.ottertooth.com/Temagami/Maps/map_tem_at las_sharp.htm |
