I am planning impromptu solo July 17, 18 & 19 to the above. There used to be a dirt road that accessed the hydro lines (atv tracks too) between Twin Sisters and Jumping Caribou. I used to park my truck there and portage in either direction along a lovely stream with some great hidden swimming holes, and onto the lakes on either side.
Two questions: Does anyone know if this dirt track is still accessible to park in...I'm worried that it may have been privatized.
And how is campsite availability? I know this is a popular route but I don't have time to get further in and this would be a trip down memory lane.

Oh, one more bit of info...the road I turn off Hwy 11 onto to access the dirt track is (I think) Tonomo Road. |

Well Hello Tess!!!
If you get no joy here, or folks arent sure, try
calling Ravenscroft Resort, on Jumping Caribou
Lake. They would surely know.
I might even consider parking there... perhaps a little more secure?
