I know Thunder Bay is just south of the Height of Land but I figured I would post here anyway. I recently moved to Thunder Bay and I still frequent this site just to read up about the Temagami region and all but now that I am living here I know that there are plenty of awesome canoeing oppurtunites. Has anyone here been canoeing in the area? I know of Quetico of course but I'm just curious in general as to what people's experiences were like and some of the routes that have been taken. Thanks!

Wabakimi is the biggest canoe park in the area. It is accessed via Armstrong about 250km north of TBay. There are many whitewater river parks in the area as well. For info on Wabakimi go here:
