I am pleased to annouce that on my team and I became the first in a century to successfully retrace the 1903 Leonidas Hubbard route from Northwest River, Labrador up Susan Brook to Hope Lake, and continuing on the routes of the rival 1905 Dillon Wallace and Mina Hubbard expeditions through Smallwood Reservoir and down the George River to Ungava Bay. The 650-mile, 50-day expedition began on June 24th, 2003 and ended on August 12th.

Over 100 photographs from the expedition are posted on my web site at:

Thanks for posting your site on the forum and thanks for your e-mail reply.

I'll get back to you on some ' things Hubbard ' material that might interest you.

All great books for wilderness canoeists!

[ It's OK don't have to read them...when you visit I'll relate some of the tales to you and the wife by the fire! ]
