Good morning,

I have kept my eye out on various "Classified Ad" sites and not been able to find any, so here goes. I'm looking for a set of gunnels to fit a 16'6" Alchemist Myth. Even something for a 17 foot boat would do nicely. Does anyone know of where I could find some (at a reasonable price, not willing to spend too much on my broken boat) or know someone who may have a set sitting around on a now defunct boat? Any help would be appreciated,

Burt

Mid-Canada-Fibreglas (Scott Canoe) in New Liskeard offers an ash trim option, so they would
have (or have access to a supplier). Ask for
Rhonda Sheperdson if you call. Rhonda works very
closely with Trailhead on Scott Street in Ottawa,
so that might be an avenue, or Rhonda could ship
the material for pickup at Trailhead the next time she delivers canoes to them.

There also used to be a Wooden Boat Maunfacturer
in Manotick... cant remember the name.

OK thanks Sundown. I'm going to start looking into this in more detail later in the season when I have more time to dedicate to boat repair. Even just to have the boat on the water one more time would be great, it's no fun owning something which has fallen so far from grace.

Can you post a photo?

I'm a Custom Cabinet/Millwork/Furniture Maker.
It sounds intriguing, and if I can see a photo
of what you are dealing with, it may help.

Feel free.
