Life of a hat/or cap 'tis as long as tha adventurer that has worn it. 'Tis here personalized head piece chapeau portrays an adventurers vision quest enteren an unknown savage wilderness. Casten-out an air of too much power, influence & fearlessness over nature, might end-up over ther head sum day followen, 'tis wrong fork path. A personify "Hat of Distinction" reveals mans out-look towards an out-reachable passage. Tha power, tha lurement & tha risk-taken just to discover a watery woods deep with-in tha mix. Canoebear! I have missed you!!
You raise a very interesting topic... not something I would normally contemplate. But of course head-wear can say so much about a person. The ceremonial head-dress so imbued with spiritual meaning and power; Bill's leather hat such a defining feature of who he is to all of us. Baseball hats have such a range, from cute girls with bouncy pony tails to truck driving macho guys with goatees. hmmm Tillies. Bug nets. Wool toques. Berets. on and on... Me, well, this is my main reason for wearing a hat:

" Other Side of Mid-Night" Chevy Tracker all packed-up + outfitted to head out on mid-night run fer another snowshoen adventuresum. Hav spent much time, energy + $ searchen tha frozen Superior Wilderness fer brush wolves in tha rough & rugged remote wilds. Be wearen a trappers hat on top of head 'tis winter time of year to keep tha heat-in. Plan to seek-out straight-lined paw tracks & find left scat,as well as, look fer any fresh deer, elk + moose dead carcasses that ravens call-out-loud about. Snowshoes will take me & Renee on top of snow wher dog trail goes while kicken-up clouds of powdered cold snow behind us. Immersed in winter night's landscape admid all kinds of wildlife. Need to get sum insight of go-en-ons of elusive wolf types way-UP in tha Northlands. Hav to keep moven & not fall asleep in order to keep-up with wild dogs restless pace. We'll be snowshoen with back packs full of provisions into tha sub-zero twilight under tha pale Wolf Moon's narrow beam head light, which will be reflecten, wild dog marks in tha fresh fallen snow. Wolf tracken treks, hearen spine tinglen howls of evasive creatures in dead of night's cold air winds, nearby. Even if U don't see them, U no ther lay-in-wait fer sum unaware snowwalker passerby. Tracken 'tis a mystery in tha middle of tha night, Heya! |

"be like Driftwood" Rivers, streams, lakes + wetlands, wher freshwater be it's lifeblood, way-UP in tha Northlands. Paddlen rivers, crossen quiet water narrows, finden marked canoe portage trails & campen along its banks. These here Indian Waterway Trails take paddlers to a primitive campen site wher a team of 2 can set up ther A-Frame, with a mud room addition on doors-end & an annex affixed storage area on to back end. Tents back porch is a place to sit & view tha outdoors while tha rain fall still flows. Explore + navigate flowage by canoe thru a maze of heavily forested islands without compass & map undertaken be naive, unless yer a homegrown Native. Wildness, amazen natural scenery, & Black Bears in abundance, 'tis tha "Wild Spirit" of this canoe trail/moccasin path lands. Be wearen my campaign hat that be wind creased & "puckered-UP". Wonderful pristine "Waterywoods", immersed under tha northern lights & waiten on Full moon arival. Embraced by its unexpected encounters that encompass. Headen UP NORTH come Wednesday morn, 1 of a 2 part trip, wher other 1 planned in early July. New lands to sort-out. Plan to rendezvous with endangered Loons. Campaign endeavor 'tis inform them of Gulf go-en-ons so they wood detour ther migration out of harms-way. Canoe-adrift, be like a broken branch with all its leaves attached floaten-down tha current, then be washed-up on shore fer abit, then to embark-on, to journey thru & disappear out of sight by way of natural process, be inevitable, Heya! |
