i'm trying to find a topic for an essay for my water resources management class, and i'm thinking of doing the environmental impacts of hydropower in northern ontario...does anyone have any tips on where to find some good information?

*not trying to cheat, just still in the research process and need to see how much i can find on it

No study as such, that I am aware of, but some material that might be useful:

* an essay by Hoop describing how the roads that service the power projects are ripping into the intact ecosystem ("back country") to create "front country": opening the forst canopies, introducing species alien to this environment, rutting soil and erosion isssues, trash....

thanks guys..it's now a toss-up between that topic, and the correlation between canada's water legislation, the environmental impacts, and the impacts on our drinking water (primarily focussing on native reserves)
