There is a temagami reference in the lyrics of this song, taken from words written by George Marsh in 1908.

Enjoy !

I previously posted a link to the song "The Old Canoe".

Here is another youtube video for the song "Beauty Lake(Temagami)....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KbzHm4ubiA4

I wrote the music and lyrics for a CD project that involved several MYCCR members. ( unfortunately unreleased). Please note that while there is a Beauty Lake ( in Temagami) and it is my understanding that it has been logged, the rest of the lyrics are fictional. I wanted to write a song about the effects that clearcutting can have, and thought that the story of a famiy's relationship with a lake over the generations might do that.

The idea of using the actually Beauty lake was suggested by a forgotten myccr memberover 4 years ago. I liked the irony!

Enjoy !
