Hi,

Does anyone know where I can find Information about the logging company that logged the Jumping Caribou Lake area during the 1920's?

The Original Offices were located off Tonomo Lake Road (the Ferguson Highway) on Jumping Caribou Lake. One of the Original Logging Cabins built in the 20's is still in use today.

I am trying to fing the name of the old Logging company.

That can be a challenge if there are no oldtimers around.

Can you be more specific to the location? And which township?

The "Resident Logging Expert" in Temiskaming is Mr Jim Sargeant (Sarge) of New Liskeard.

Jim Has an Incomparable Wealth of Knowledge, and Can Relay the Logging History in Either "Word" or "Verse" or "Song"... Especially the JRBooth History, and the Log Drive Legends.

If Sarge Doesn't Know, I'd Be Very Surprised.

He Will Be Listed in the New Liskeard Phone Directory.

(Brian, Have You Ever Interviewed Sarge?)
