Brian!
When I am surfing through various forums here, a window pops up all the time asking me to select user name even though I am logged in. Why is that?
It is really annoying to have to click on it all the time.
Thanks,
Mel

There are no quick answers. Could be a number of things.
Have you got cookies enabled?
Have you got a firewall or adware blocker (they can all do funny things to cookies)?
Are you running the newest version of your browser?

Yes, the cookies are enabled , there is no adware blocker, our server has a firewall but that did not present a problem before and I use Netscape 7.0

There were a couple of folks who had problems when running Netscape. Switching to Internet Explorer (that went through the profanity checker okay!) resolved their problems.

This is one of those computer issues — the kind that can get Lewis Black rolling in fits for a good hour — that appears to have no known way to duplicate, so it is worth trying anything and everything, even if not obvious or rational on the surface.

Have you tried going into your profile and turning on "Clear the cookie when I exit my browser" to try and give yourself a clean start?

And even turning off cookies, exiting and closing the browser completely?

Mel, I presume you went to the forum's Help page first and followed the directions on setting up your browser. I know you had it working before, but it appears something changed in your settings. So you may have to get set up again. It is important to get both the browser settings and the profile settings correctly set.
