My wife and I got a new computor and finally unpacked the digital camera, got some batteries and a ' card ' the day before yesterday.
We hope to figure out how to use it so , among other things, I can post more of my art on the web.
I get a bit frustrated with the computor but really enjoy using it etc.
If my buddy canoebear ever puts a picture in his profile box suppose I will have to also - now that we have the means.

Paul a fine site thanks for leting me see....if help with new coumputer or digital camera is needed.
My ears are for asking.
I was not too sure at first when I was given a digital camera but now like it a lot and wish you have as much enjoyment that I have had.

It's 07.00 in U.K worked all night time to dream of life paths, wish you all well now.

Hi ya Bill know that feeling put all the time into the planing an look what! *&^%$# Look what they are
missing i'd give my right leg to be on the water with your party.
(I was go an say arm but then id have nothing to paddle with would I)
Im stuck in the U.K for the next 12 months on this con-rat (my word for contract)...and left to paddle English Water dah but is much better to have some water than none always look on the good side of life.
North East wind is calling me back home to Canada
(Mum has very load voice haha)
Old Growth Trip next year!! your on for it Bill maybe Paul an Canoe Bear, Kim and Ed, ascool with Dog just to name a few come and join us to!!!!

That would be good June or July we dont mind Aaliyah an mum will go shoping for two weeks and spend some time with dem inlaws in ah Barrie im trying to get a month off from work or two would be good so I can return to Algonquin for a paddle the last time I was there I was about nine. Dont know how much time you and Alex M have got on yah hands next year Bill but I keep haveing the same dream about them paintings on them rocks so I must get to see.
Will fly out with a pak boat or some thing like it

Blackfox - I sure would like to...but...my whole 'canoeing career ' was spent paddling stern and I used one side only - the left.
I doubt if there is anyone today that could paddle all day in one side in the bow. But that was the way I learned it from Jim Bossum of Lac St John in '63.
Come to think of it - looking at trip photos of my Aug 66 Algonquin Trip and comparing them with pics of today - I KNOW I sure could not paddle all day on any! side/sides!
I better go shoping too.
Now canoebear...about George Custer.
My friend Dr Roger P. Lochhead was a heart surgeon and once he saved the life of W. Donald Horn whose father gave Roger a copy of his son's book WITNESSES FOR THE DEFENSE of GENERAL GEORGE ARMSTRONG CUSTER.
It is a beautiful book...all hand bound in leather. The book is copy #31 out of 60 copies and it is autographed and inscribed by the author, the father, and finally the heart surgeon to me.
On page 98 " The Defense Rests "
" This book is presented in defense of a gallant soldier who served his country well at a time of great national unrest. Many more witness could have been presented; however, I believe the cause has been served. "
Well...the book is interesting but I have not cast my vote yet...I think there is much to Col Cantwell's naming of George Custer as ' old dust for brains ' in Hemingway's book ACROSS THE RIVER AND INTO THE TREES.
