ROUTE: Manitoba by van - put-in at Sea River Falls on the Nelson River - Nelson River - up Echimamish River - Painted Stone Portage - Hayes River - Oxford Lake - up Semple River - Semple Lake - Bear Lake (re-outfit) - Bigstone River - Sipanigo River - up Fox River - Atkinson Lake - Kettle Lake - Kettle River - take-out at Gillam village - return to Lake Temagami by van

The section traveled on a number of historic native and Hudson's Bay Company trade routes used by both canoes and York boats.
