Left to right, back row: Dave "Shoes" Toogood (staffman), John Doyle, Sean O'Brien, David Broyles, Andy Pepall (guide). Front row: Ralph Price, Jeff Schwartz, Tom Walters, Adam Kaplan, Troy Jourden. LINER NOTES: Polar Bear Express There were Wabun canoes in the baggage car, but no Wabun people. There was a group of canoeists who'd done the Harricanaw. Wooden sills with initials carved in. Restaurant car that had a table running the whole length. Friendly people. Railway employees. Indians. And every other culture you could think of. I'd divide them into Northerners and tourists. The Northerners used this train like a bus to go shopping. The train stopped at a woman's yard. They tossed out food for her St. Bernards. Shoes Toogood log
