Linger Lake: Proceed to the north end of Linger and portage (215 yards), starting from a small bay to the right of the river inlet. The trail crosses a road about half way along.

Seagram Lake: This beautiful lake has two good campsites along the south shore. *Note: (Marked on the route map, you will see a portage (750 yards) to Yorston Lake. This trail is fairly strenuous, but the seclusion of Yorston may be what you are looking for.) Proceed through the shallow west bay to the next portage around a picturesque falls. This steep but well-used trail follows the north bank (230 yards) to a small pond. Paddle to the end of this pond and portage (125 yards) to the next small lake. Watch the rocks in the narrows shortly after the portage. *Note: (Located in the northwest bay is a (160 yards) portage into Bull Lake for those wanting a diversion off the main route.)

Reprinted with author's permission.

The next portage located in the northwest bay of the small lake, by-passes a section of river that funnels into a chutes. Carry over a good trail (175 yards) to a narrow pond. *Note: (From this pond north to Bluesucker Lake, you will find several obstructions in the river.)
