I wonder if someone recently traveled Nasmith creek upstream of Lahay. We are considering this stretch for August family/children trip (triangle bewtween Obabika river - Nasmith - Wakimika lake - Obabika) and if it's doable in one day. Mostly, I'm concerned with a number and difficulty of blowdowns in the creek. |

Probably a little late on this one considering your trip last month. I travelled Nasmith Creek from Chapin to the Dorthy Lake portage in October 2017. It was raining hard for a day or two, but on that stretch of Nasmith there were no issues with blowdowns or any obstacles that I can remember. Not sure how the river progresses after Dorthy but I believe you could certainly manage that in one day. |
