Oh, by the way the full moon is on July 2 and I will be In Temagami on July 3. Darn I just missed it but will have lots of light due to the moon if it is clear at night.

& wildlife bout in forest woods.
July's Full Buck Moon,
'tis when buck white-tail deer new antlers
push-out in coat of velvety fur.
July's Full Thundermoon, be ripe time fer storms.
July's Full Blood Moon, wher color of red be tha
COLOR OF LIFE. Also tha red color of tha Mother
dicative of Her fruitfulness thru menstration & birth. Blessen & of red blood, 'tis wood be
red moon phase.
A phase when red cherries & Indian Corn R ripe.
Sleepen under tha light of a "Blood Moon",
may make a female pregnant.
'Tis a good time fer Black Bears to mate,
hey Paul!
Under nite of "Full Moon-Glade" on prisine mirror
lake waters may reflect image, "to look at", heya!

Few & far between, a Blue Moon may indeed show a bluish tinge color to it, if unusual dust be in tha air.
In Maine, 3 full moons of a season that has 4 full moons, be of a Blue Moon nature.
'Tis Heat Moon time fer ducks to moult in
lands of waters of tha Cree.
Juillet, Lun e de la chaleur ou lune de sang.
Turtle's back tells of 13 moons in tha
Mohegan year. Ohiarihko:wa, be time of
much ripen.
In tha NE, 'tis giantess Turtle, stands fer
"Mother Earth". Tha earth itself is sybolized by
"Turtle Island". Tha bony shell coveren tha whole back of tha Turtle, Who burdens tha world on Her back, displays 13 distint plates. Each plate depict 1 of 13 moons that make-up a full year.

To see the weeping willow down at the bend in the river on a July nite of a Blue Moon makes one stop and beach ones canoe before rounding the bend and have a sweat.
As one takes a " good sweat " in ones willow framed lodge while sprinkling water on the hot lava rocks one cries as the love song played on the cedar flute out side the tent reaches ones ears.
The sad music made by the limb severed from the cedar tree is a cry to be be rejoined to the trunk.
Soon the turtles tears sprinkle the rocks in the sweat lodge.
The blue moon, the weeping willow, the crying cedar, the giant turtle humbled...
" every now & then "

to fatten-up & doublen its own weight
fer winteren big sleep under tha
heat & haze of August's reddish moon.
All gear stuff packed-up & ready to go
'tis early morn to head-way-up, to tha NE, Heya!

"Clap/or Slap"
Callen in big black Minnesota moose/or hugh brown Ontario moose makes canoebear feel-good.
All moose utilize ther sound gatheren antler dishes to hear tones from far-away distance nearen time of rut. When right tones be made,
bulls cum from miles away. Moose at 'tis time
R deep in tha forest woods eaten leaves of various
trees. I find much favor in callen bull moose
along moven rivers/or moose ponds wer ther be adler, birch, spruce or willow trees, hopen to
hear a return glunken bull sound.
But 'tis time round, no matter where wife & I wer at, every time I call out too bull moose,
beavers wood cum to my beck & call.
Lakes & ponds filled with much beaver.
Grey owl wood be much pleased to lay eyes on
'tis sight.
Beavers came from far realm of back side of
lakes & ponds to see who was maken all tha deep tones. Swimmen loops in front of us than hitten
their fat tails on-top of water, senden warnens out.
Mornen Star, R these here beavers clappen water at my moose call ability/or R they slappen
top-side or water try to tell me to don't give-up
my night job, Heya?

Summer is over on Cape Cod and the tourists have left and the deer are back greeting us each morning outside our house.
No " clap/or slap " hear but your message, canoebear, brings the remembered call to heart.

Wife & I walked in forest woods round dusk
in which we saw a great horn owl, couple
tom turkeys & much dark brown deer.
Before we left on last trip, deer pelts wer
fawn in color, turn to dark brown, soon to change to ghost grey.

Pursuen that "Full Harvest Moon"
'tis time last year in far NE,
we ran into Hurracane Isabella.
She altered our canoe portage trip.
We'll take heed what Brian said bout
wet weather that may lay ahead of us.
That Ivan may-be a Bear of a Hurracane.
Once He land-falls, He'll pack strong wind rains,
while He Bears north & then drift east.
Don't likes tha looks of Him. I'll swollow
my pride, move aside & let Him pass-by.
We'll point canoe facen different headen.
Hall, that Isabella snuck-up on us last year
when wife & I wer on big water Up-North.
As we searched fer take-out, we tried to avoid rock out-crop shore batteren by on-cummen wind.
Tha waves near shore wer cummen-in much higher &
down right meaner looken. We tried to stay clear of waves that be breaken on rocky shore line.
We had nough lake water in canoe to be swamped.
We adjusted our course & headed fer a sandy
in-lake-bay to waite fer waters to quite down,
some-what before we make our retreat to safe
take-out.
Ivan uncoopertive wind rain elements look-to-be to stubbornly stong fer me. I learned my past lesson well, I'll turn-tail & change canoe course route if need-be.
Why be limited-to only 1 path to follow, Hey Paul!

" Pursuen that "Full Harvest Moon" " my picture THE ROBE OF BEAUTY of buffalo in Lame Deer Valley [ where my land is and where you are welcome canoebear ] won a blue ribbon at the Northern Cheyenne Harvest Moon Festival of 1993.
No ' hurracanes ' out that way...a good path to follow.
Looks like some rain for DC and the celebration next week. Should have a few authentic rain dances the morning of the Grand Processional - Tuesday.
Looking forward the hearing Buffy Saint Marie [ Cree ]Tuesday night on The Mall.
Her songs kept me going as a young man just on and off the reservation in '70-'71.
