Section A Freaking Out on Popcorn July 18, 2001 Our boys enjoying a southern delicacy while awaiting the reoutfit plane, expected the next day. They are on Lac de Gannes along the Coats River, north of the Great Whale River in northern Quebec. Left to right: Ari Bensimhon, Goo Maurer, Nate Beck, Nick Choremi, Chris Russoniello, Mike Hunt, Brian Keith, Rob Nestor. We popped popcorn in the bean pot with a little Crisco. Everyone in the section would get really worked up, when we were making it. Sometimes we would put a few too many kernels into the bean pot. It would start pushing the lid off and popcorn would spill. This would cause everyone to start screaming while trying to find clean pots to transfer the popcorn into. Jeff Tanz, 9/1/01 |
